These two were created with a new tool in ZenTile2, to be distributed with the next update. It allows you to scroll a picture horizontally or vertically, as if it was pasted on a cylinder. The new picture is then tiled. This technique allows you to make seamless tiles easily. |

The picture on the right above was then tiled using the Random1 tool, for an entirely different effect, at the left. The file is large because the randomness makes it difficult to zip. The second sample would make nice knitted lace, and was also created with the new tool. The zip is large because of the intricacy of the pattern, and because there are two variations included in the zip. Remember, what you see here are full-scale samples from the full textures, which are usually 1024X768 |

A creature from Nature, clinging to a man-made object... The resulting texture is futuristic, and quite 3D in appearance, could be used as a bump map as well. The moth is a Luna Moth, wingspan about 4 inches. |

Two pictures tiled at once, both variations of a single picture that was originally black-and-white, altered in ZenPaint and AlphaZen. Using two pictures in a tiling operation can increase variety, either by using variations of the same picture as in this case, or using completely different pictures as in an earlier ToTW. |

A hanging bead curtain, perhaps? Made from a picture of two glasses of champagne on a wood counter, 2 different styles and tile sizes. As always, these are full-scale clips from the full textures, which are usually 1024X768, BMP format. |

Umbrella by Himeko, ZenTile texture |

Picture by a ZenTile user, the colorful texture was created by ZenTile. The picture itself, tiled, gives a nice "seashell" effect! Style 2, size 25 |

You don't need a complex picture to make an interesting texture! Here, just five blocks of color yield two different textures, by tiling with 2 styles. Change the colors and sizes of the blocks for an infinite variety of checked material. |

Two textures made from Oriental carpets. Rug stores on the web are a wonderful source of tiling material, see the seamless carpet tile already posted, as well. Remember you can use the original proportions or have ZenTile force to square, which was how these textures were made. All samples are full-scale, cropped from the full texture. |

The first is a sunset, with alternate columns flipped, to make a dramatic texture. The second is the same picture, with a second loaded and tiled, and then a selection from the tiles was re-tiled. |
