ZenLiner FAQ

Q: What kind of files can I use for input?

A: These file types can be used: .BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .TIF, .TGA, .WMF, .PNG (no PNG for Win XP). Any type of graphics is suitable, different types will give different results depending on the effect chosen. Photographs make great input, and Poser (copyright CL)- type pictures, where there is high contrast and strong lighting, especially.

Q: A couple of times, the top of the picture is turned into random pixels, after rendering. What can I do about this?

A: Nothing, except render again. Sometimes it just happens, and is almost never repeatable.

Q: Sometimes the picture gets quartered, with a cross-shaped band of darker shade on it. It is more likely to happen with large pictures.

A: Same answer!

Q: My picture turned into a snapshot of my desktop!

A: You switched away from Work window while it was loading, or while it was rendering. Sometimes you can do this with no bad results, but often RAM gets corrupted and whatever is showing at the time gets incorporated into the picture. It only takes a few seconds to load or render, it's safest to wait -- but if it happens, just reload.

Q: The bottom and right side of ZenLiner is cut off when I am running at 1024X768!

A: There are a number of things that can cause this:

Some installs of some versions of the Visual Studio programming environment. (run at a higher screen resolution)

Some spyware detection programs. (same, or turn off the detectors -- or better yet, dump them and stop downloading with Kazaa, then you probably won't need them!)

Some video cards, particularly complex ones. (run at higher res, if installing the latest drivers doesn't work)
